![]() Still not sure if I am a fan of the 'bright' casino. If you consider value, this place cannot be touched on the Strip. Nice, clean, comfortable, but it is not the Wynn. Keep in mind, this is still after renovation, a mid-range property. Bathrooms were much better than TA reviews. Very few other strip properties would have waved the Resort Fee. We checked our luggage and walked around the casino for about 20 minutes until we could get into our room. Unfortunately, our room was not ready, but for our trouble, they waved the Resort Fees for our stay. It was not much of line and we were helped by Rich at the front desk. We booked our room through a third party so we could not use their "VIP" check-in. We arrived at the Tropicana via Taxi at approximately 3:30pm. ![]() Our friends were reluctant based upon previous experiences with the Trop, but I think all were fairly pleased with the renovations. We decided to try the Tropicana based upon a few factors: newly renovated, recent TA reviews, price, and we had never spent any time on the south end of the strip. I'll start with a review of the Tropicana and will get into our other activities in further posts. We went with a few friends, all of which were in our early 30s. A short weekend to feel like an adult after spending some much time with children.
